A Guide to Free eBooks

  • Baen Books - A publisher of scientific fiction and fantasy, Baen Books offers more than 120 titles. You can save books to your computer or send them directly to your kindle.

  • Bibliomania - This site provides free online literature with more than 2,000 classic texts (including fiction, drama, poetry and short stories).

  • Bookyards - Bookyards‘ goal is to be Library to the World. The web portal has over 17,000 e-books to download, as well as thousands of external web links and links to e-books in other sources.

  • eLibrary - eLibrary offers lots of free e-books.

  • Project Gutenberg - Project Gutenberg is the place where you can download over 33,000 free e-books to read on your PC, iPad, Kindle, Sony reader, iPhone, Android or other portable device.

  • Read Easily - Read Easily is an e-book library designed to provide an adaptive reading experience. The reader selects font size, font color and background color. All titles are in HTML to be compatible with text to speech software.

  • The Online Books Page - From the University of Pennsylvania Libraries, this site offers over 40,000 books available for free online.
